Feyenoord is parting ways with Robin van Persie and is searching for a new head coach. Oliver Glasner is one of the names being mentioned. Arne Slot is a logical choice to follow Van Persie, having been successful at Feyenoord in the past. "Is he available? He is at least available", says Valentijn Driessen of De Telegraaf. "If he is available, you should call him." Driessen has also mentioned another name, Oliver Glasner, who has done well at Crystal Palace but has left the club. "It's a surprising name, but it wouldn't surprise me if Feyenoord brings him in, he could be a successful coach for the club", says the sports editor of the newspaper. "Glasner has done great things at Crystal Palace, but he has left the club. I think Feyenoord would be a great challenge for him, as they play in the Champions League." Glasner began his career as a player at Red Bull Salzburg, where he later became an assistant coach under Roger Schmidt. He then became the head coach of SV Ried for a season, before joining LASK Linz and taking on the role of sports director. After four seasons at LASK Linz, Glasner joined VfL Wolfsburg, where he spent two seasons before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt. At Frankfurt, Glasner won the Europa League and then moved to Crystal Palace in the Premier League, where he won three trophies: the FA Cup, the Community Shield, and the Conference League.
