Feyenoord is facing a crucial summer where several players can come in, but also leave. Who are on the list of the new technical director Devy Rigaux? Dennis te Kloese has returned to Mexico to take on a key role with Monterrey and return to the country where he worked before joining Feyenoord. Under him, Robin van Persie was appointed and ultimately finished second this season without playing well or anything. The summer and winter signings did not show much, and so it is up to Rigaux to work on the selection after a decision has been made about Van Persie's future. In goal, Timon Wellenreuther has become a familiar face at Feyenoord without necessarily standing out, and with a contract until the summer of 2027, it's possible that he will or will leave this summer. Liam Bossin also has only one year left on his contract, while loanee Steven Benda will definitely leave. In other words, a lot will change under the bar at Feyenoord. At the back, there will also be a lot of changes. Feyenoord has no left-backs other than Jordan Bos and too many right-backs with Givairo Read, Mats Deijl, Bart Nieuwkoop, and Jordan Lotomba. Nieuwkoop and Lotomba have one year left on their contracts and seem like candidates to leave, while Read has already been pursued by top clubs and may also leave. Central defender Malcolm Jeng (loan) will leave and so will Gernot Trauner. Feyenoord has plenty of options, but Jeremiah St. Juste could be the one to leave. On the midfield, the loaned Ramiz Zerrouki will definitely leave, given his recent statements and lack of playing time, while it's also unclear if Gjivai Zechiël will stay. Further, Ouassama Targhalline is on the list of many French teams, but there seems to be no major revolution on the midfield. That will happen upfront, with Anis Hadj Moussa likely to leave on the right, Leo Sauer on the left, and Raheem Sterling not returning. Additionally, it's likely that Casper Tengstedt will leave again and there will be some additions to the attack and on the wings. Also, players like Calvin Stengs, Jaden Slory, and Luka Ivanusec seem to be leaving after their failed loan periods. In total, there is work to be done on three of the four lines for Rigaux, but the midfield of Feyenoord looks good and has many good options. Maybe a bit too many.
