Feyenoord Academy closes the season with a traditional gathering for staff, volunteers and partners at Van der Valk Hotel Ridderkerk. During this evening, the past season was looked back on and departing staff members were given a suitable farewell. Jelle Goes, manager of the youth development, says that the season can be considered particularly successful. In addition to four league titles, seven youth players made their debut in Feyenoord 1. Attention was also paid to the farewell of staff members who will not return to Feyenoord Academy after the summer break. Michel Valke, the founder of video analysis at Varkenoord, is retiring. He was put in the spotlight by his former teammate René van der Gijp. A special word of thanks was given to Adrie Moulijn, the widow of Coen. She is taking a step back after 15 years as a hostess in the boardroom at Varkenoord. Further, Pascal Bosschaart, Erik van der Ven, Sjoerd Bos, Serge Bonte, Rafi Delfgaauw, Tim Haasnoot, Remco Sanderse, Tim Kraaijeveld, Max Baartman, Daan Jonker, Romy Tombroek, Jip de Rooij, Jeffrey Keim, Marc Jansen, Claudine van Vlimmeren, Goof van Loon, Arjan Kemner, Naomi Hoogendam, Loes Meulemans and Remco Castens were thanked for their efforts and received a beautiful bouquet of flowers. For the players and staff of Feyenoord Academy, a well-deserved vacation now remains, after which they will report to Varkenoord next month to begin the 2026-2027 season.
