Feyenoord started its preparation for the new season on Monday. Behind closed doors, Giovanni van Bronckhorst stepped onto the training field of his Rotterdam club for the first time.

Feyenoord's attackers

Feyenoord trained without Anis Hadj Moussa and Ayase Ueda, who are still active with Algeria and Japan at the World Cup. It remains to be seen if they will actually return to De Kuip after their vacation following the tournament.

The attack line will still undergo some changes, partly due to the arrival of Nacho Ferri. The Spaniard is set to become Feyenoord's new striker and will join from Westerlo, provided he passes his medical examination.

Feyenoord's midfielders

In-Beom Hwang was eliminated with South Korea in the group stage of the World Cup, but is not yet present at the first training session. He is expected to rejoin Feyenoord around the mid-July training camp.

The new Flemish controller Charles Vanhoutte has already completed his first training session. The Belgian was presented by Feyenoord as the first acquisition of the new season last week.
