Feyenoord signs Nacho Ferri in summer transfer

Feyenoord has taken a significant step towards signing Nacho Ferri. The Rotterdam club has reached a principle agreement with KVC Westerlo for the transfer of the 21-year-old striker.

Feyenoord has thus reached an agreement with Westerlo for the transfer of Ferri. The Spanish striker had been on the club's radar for some time and now seems to be on his way to De Kuip.

Why is Ferri a good signing for Feyenoord?

Ferri made an impression in the Belgian Pro League last season. Especially in the air, he is difficult to beat. Of all players who won at least 100 aerial duels in the regular competition, Ferri had the highest win percentage with 64 percent.

What does this mean for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's squad?

Feyenoord looks beyond Ferri's production. The striker had 14.1 expected goals, the highest number of all players in the Belgian Pro League. However, his goal total was limited to seven league goals.
